FIRECRACKER ALMONDS
Ingredients
2 tsp. chili powder 1 tsp. curry powder 1 tsp. garlic powder 1 Tbs. olive or almond oil 2 cups toasted whole natural almonds 1/2 tsp. hot pepper sauce, or to taste 1 tsp. ground red pepper (cayenne), or to taste
Directions
Toasted Almonds
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Rinse 2 cups whole natural almonds and pat dry. Place on a baking sheet and put in oven. Cook for 30 minutes. Take from oven and cool on a separate plate.
Combine chili powder, curry powder, garlic powder and oil in a medium-sized skillet over medium heat. Heat until hot and bubbly. Stir in almonds, tossing until almonds are evenly coated and heated through, 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat and cool slightly. Stir in pepper sauce and red pepper. Allow to cool fully before serving. |
